Dorothy Sayers

My friend Trena alerted me to the fact it was Dorothy Sayer’s birthday today.

It’s hard to believe it’s been almost three years since I wrote this post.

Ooo, I’m intrigued. I need to read these. I loved Sayers’ notes on Dante’s Purgatorio, but never read any of her own works.

    • Read Lord Peter Wimsey!! But read them in order, please. (As a female academic, I think you’ll really like them and their themes. Read them quickly so we can discuss them when I’m up there in a few weeks. haha)

Actually, I left the comment and went straight to the library website to order the first 3 books on audio for my trip home. I think I’ll be able to accommodate you! 🙂

  2. Thanks for re-linking this. I’ve thought about picking up Sayers before (and almost did at a recent Library book sale), but know I’ll have to add her to my Summer reading list. I’ve always loved a good mystery and the Brits excel at them in my opinion.
