what a day

What a day.  I’ve now been up for almost 22 hours straight.  It’s been quite a historic day, hasn’t it?

As I was driving home from our John Paul II celebratory dinner party, I heard the breaking news about bin Laden.  Thank you to our heroic United States military — there’s no one like you.  Thank you to my uncle, as he finishes his tour  — what news with which to end one’s time overseas.

We send up prayers for the coming weeks, as the situation plays out.

Thank you, joanallegretti! It’s good people like you who remember that our troops are still there and fighting for our freedom. Ten years have passed since 9/11 and so many Americans have forgotten that we our troops are still risking their lives. And so many have a distorted political view of WHY we are still in the sandbox. Joe absolutely appreciates all the prayers, notes, care packages that your family has sent! Thank you!
